Antichrist, Norway and RSC
19. jun 2009 00:12, MikkelA bit delayed today... just came crashing through the door after a late night at the movies. We had to go see Lars Von Triers "Antichrist" and it certainly didn't disappoint, my head is still spinning from the imagery, the pretty gruesome violence and the overall ambience and mood of the thing. Well executed, hit the gut.. but I'm still not quite sure what it all meant.
Perhaps a good nights sleep will help and tomorrow my subconscious will have made it all fit together and make sense... or perhaps a trip to IMDB.com will help me get started on the analysis.
The movie had me feeling slightly uncomfortable all the way through, dunno if it was a good or a bad uncomfortable yet, but it was an interesting uncomfortable for sure. Felt challenged to at least try to understand it on more than the obvious level.. and thats not always the case for me with "artsy" flicks. Sometimes they miss the mark so much for me that I can't be bothered to do anything but file it away under either weird, pointless or plan boring. He did something right this time.
With that out of the way I have a massive pile of dishes in the kitchen to worry about before I jump to bed to get ready for Norway tomorrow. We are visiting the in-laws and I think Marianne has a bunch of stuff planned. I have been a bit busy so I haven't really been paying attention ;)
One of the things I have been busy with is getting my hobby site RSC up and running again after months of downtime. It relaunched a few days ago and already it's attracting 10.000+ visitors a day... damn it feels good to see that people have not forgot about RSC and that it has been worth the struggle to get it back on it's feet. www.racesimcentral.com and forum.racesimcentral.com is where it's all at. Ok, dishes... bye.

Mikkel,
Glad to see your back to writing on the blog as I had been checking regularly and there was a long dry spell. I am one of those people who is also happy that RSC is back up and running. I have checked it everyday since it has been back up.
It must be quite a change to go back "home" after having lived in Thailand for a year. Hopefully your time at home has been as exciting as your adventure down in Phuket. Well maybe not..but being around family is always good.
I will start checking out all the photos you posted. :)

Hey Dave
My time at home has actually been more exiting then the last few months in Thailand, just never seem to have the time to sit down and get up to speed on this diary. My efforts to produce 7 blogs in 7 days got shot down by the trip to Norway ( my laptop sucks) but I have promised to get pics and words from the past weekend up ASAP. Have an early day tomorrow, so I'll hot the bed now instead of writing anything more.
Hope RSC will quickly again become as active and fun a place as it was before the big chrash of 2009 ;)
